To complete the assignment which I have been given I need to make a 1 minute film with only 1 actor and 1 location. It is to be showcased at the UKCineFest Film Festival. As part of the selection process they have asked for a Pre -Production folder and a self-reflective review to be submitted alongside the final film. These Pre-Production stages will include a professionally formatted script, a storyboard, script breakdown sheet, a budget which is what it would cost in the real world, a risk assessment and clearances ( Actors and Locations ).

Finally the last piece of pre-production for me to do is the actors clearances which is myself, the contributor release form is completed and shown below - this is in case the actor then decides they don't want it to go public yet the company can decide whether or not to as they will win in a legal case.

Conclusion

In this assignment I was told to complete the following - a professionally formatted script, storyboard, script breakdown sheet, projected budget for real world costs, risk assessment and clearances e.g. actors, and of course make my film as well as edit it and put a soundtrack over it, I was also tasked to create a production diary of what I done in the weeks of this assignment. I believe that I have done all of these tasks to the best of my ability.

Production Diary

Week 1 - I am thinking of ideas about what my short film is going to be about. I have had a look at YouTube videos to help me think of ideas.

Week 2 - I have booked the equipment which I need to complete my assignment for the 16th of December and I will be returning this equipment on the 19th of December.

Week 3 - I have now decided what my short film is going to be about. I also have now started on the pre production templates both the script breakdown sheet and the script making software.

Week 4 - I have now changed the date of when I am shooting, it will be 9th of January.

Week 5 - I have now completed all of the Pre Production papers meaning I now know what I'm doing to complete the task which was given to me.

Week 6 - I have now shot my film and have started to edit it.

Week 7 - I have now completed my film, edited it and uploaded it to YouTube, meaning I have now completed my assignment.
