What is product placement? - Product placement is when companies get in contact with either big film companies e.g Paramount to then get a product placed in their movie, there are products from Transformers 1 where Xbox to Mountain Dew to HP and many car producers are shown.
Is it allowed on UK TV? - Product placement is allowed on Films, TV series and Soaps however it is not allowed on the news, religious affairs or children's programmes. They also cannot be placed in consumer advice programmes made for UK audiences.
Where can't products be placed? - Children's programmes, religious affairs or news.
What products can't be placed? - Cigarettes along with medicines that are available only on prescription, can't be product placed in any programmes. Alcoholic drinks, gambling products, food and drinks that are high in fats, salts or sugar.
How would you know if a programme contains product placement? - Have the ' P ' logo shown below.
What products do you think would be advertised on your TV show? - On my TV show I think sports drinks or protein shakes would be the best suited as it would fit into the category of the TV show and many members of the audience.

In my opinion, a good TV series should make you want to watch more and more of the same TV series, for example one of my best TV shows I have ever watched is Breaking Bad, it's about a Chemist teacher at a high school and one of his ex-pupils and they start making meth together to make money, there becomes many dilemmas which eventually they get over. Another TV series I love is Prison Break, two brothers Michael Schofield and Lincoln Burrows break out of prison with a couple of friends and eventually become free.
